Flavian Abe Sam is an inspirational young Grade 7 student at Abu Dhabi Indian School, Al Wathba.  He is an active environmentalist and social worker.  His journey began at the young age of 6 when he participated in a cleanliness drive at school. Since then he has participated in many campaigns such as can collection, paper recycling, tree plantation and wildlife conservation. 

Flavian is a recipient of the prestigious Sheikh Hamdan Award for Distinguished Students 2015-2016 awarded by the patron of the award H.H. Sheikh Hamdan, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance. Besides this he has won many awards at the International and National level including Child Prodigy UAE, World Science contest where he ranked 18th in the world, Gold Medalist at the National Karate Championship, Distinction in Music from the Trinity College of Music London, IDEA UAE Open Talent competition for GK, Whiz Kid UAE, various prizes at the National level for his Oratory skills ,  National Winner with UAE Rank 1 for the International Math Olympiad  2016 and was selected to go to Singapore for the Global Round. In 2017 he received the award for the “Gifted and Talented students in UAE” from the Ambassador of India at the Embassy of India , Abu Dhabi. 

Flavian has actively promoted various awareness campaigns about “Stranger Danger” to school students in India and UAE along with the Abu Dhabi Community Police and has received appreciation from the community police for his drive. He plans to continue this awareness campaign to as many schools and children as possible.
